Миртов Дмитрий Павлович (1867–1941) – писатель, богослов, философ.
Сын священника. В 1887 окончил Рязанскую духовную семинарию и в том же году поступил в Петербургскую духовную академию. Будучи студентом серьезно занялся исследованиями в области истории философии. По окончании Духовной академии с 1891 со степенью кандидата богословия преподавал в духовных учебных заведениях. С 1891 по 1894 был преподавателем философии, логики, психологии и педагогики в Волынской духовной семинарии. С декабря 1894 начал преподавать в Петербургской духовной академии. С 1906 редактор «Церковного вестника». Печатался под псевдонимом «С. П.». Ему принадлежат статьи «Схоластика» и «Аристотель» в Словаре Брокгауза и Ефрона. Будучи профессором Академии, преподавал в 1914–18 историю философии в Психоневрологическом институте в звании профессора. В августе 1919 избран преподавателем кафедры философии ФОН Петроградского университета, с октября того же года утвержден в должности профессора философского отделения и работал здесь до сентября 1921. В 1921–22 преподавал в Педагогической академии. Летом 1918 участвовал в организованном Наркомпросом совещании по реформе высшей школы. С 15 августа 1919 Миртов зачислен научным сотрудником Публичной библиотеки, и с этого времени служба в Библиотеке стала его основным местом работы вплоть до выхода на пенсию в 1929. Начал работать в I отделении в качестве каталогизатора; в 1919–21 занимался описанием поступившей в ПБ библиотеки епископа Анастасия (Александрова) – бывшего ректора Духовной академии. В дальнейшем в должностях научного сотрудника, а с декабря 1926 – старшего помощника библиотекаря работал в других отделениях: Изящной словесности, Филологии, Русском. Помимо текущей работы по каталогизации и выдачи книг занимался описанием и систематизацией изданий XVI–XVII вв. на латинском языке, привлекался к работам по выявлению книг библиотеки Залуских в связи с реализацией Рижского мирного договора по передаче культурных ценностей Польше. Избирался в 1927 делегатом на губернской конференции научных работников.
